Bentley Continental GTC V8

XCar has revealed to us a new video of the second generation Bentley Continental GTC, taking us through the production stages and also showing us a glimpse of the car on the road. In this video, the explain why the paint job goes through 20 stages taking 11 days while the leather in the seats is made from 10 bulls. Before the car is handed over to the buyer, it goes through over 1,000 quality checks.

This particular one is the newly introduced V8 versions, motivated by the new 4.0 liter, twin turbocharged V8. The new Bentley V8 engine delivers maximum power of 507hp at 6,000 rev/min and a peak torque of 660Nm, which is available across virtually the entire rev range from 1,700 to 5,000 rev/min. Combined with a new close-ratio eight-speed automatic transmission, this translates into a 0-60mph sprint time of 4.6 seconds for the GT coupe, 0-100km/h in 4.8 seconds, and a top speed of 188mph or 303km/h.
