One of motorsport’s most infamous collaborations is set to be re-ignited on May 12th as Porsche and Martini team up yet again to cover one of their finest modern-day race cars with the infamous Martini livery.
The newly wrapped 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car will debut during the opening round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in Barcelona, Spain with none other than nine-time world rally championship winner Sebastien Loeb behind the wheel.
This car marks the very first time a Porsche racer as adorned the Martini livery since 2008, and is being done in part to help Martini with its ongoing 150th anniversary celebrations.
Martini Global Category Director of Vermouth and Sparkling Wine Arnaud Meysselle said,
“This is an extraordinary year for MARTINI® as we are celebrating our 150 Anniversary. Partnering with Porsche once again, during 50 Years of 911, and seeing the new 911 GT3 Cup car adorned with MARTINI® Racing Stripes is a special moment for the brand and MARTINI® Racing enthusiasts alike. We believe LUCK IS AN ATTITUDETM and the resurrection of the celebrated partnership between MARTINI® Racing and Porsche is the start of a new chapter in this legendary story.”
Sebastien Loeb will pilot the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car for the first two rounds of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup before a currently unnamed replacement driver takes over.
