High-performance motor bikes have long had the upper-hand over supercars in terms of acceleration and it’s likely to remain that way for some years to come.
However, the one commonly overlooked element of a supercar are its brakes which can bring a 1000kg-plus supercar to a halt from 62mph quicker than it takes for that same car to accelerate to the same speed.
As a result of motor bikes having the upper hand in acceleration, but supercars being better under brakes, surely pitting the two together in a 0-150mph-0 test would be ideal.
Well, thankfully, the team over at Autocar did just that when they pitted a 1200cc Ducati Diavel producing 162hp and weighing just 234kgup against the 542hp Audi R8 V10 Plus and the result is closer than you might think!
