After winning the championship three years on the trot, Sebastian Vettel has shown little signs of stepping back the pace after passing his teammate Mark Webber at this years Malaysian Grand Prix to snatch victory.

At the heels of Infinit’s title sponsorship of the Red Bull racing F1 team, the Japanese luxury offshoot of Nissan has announced that none other than Sebastian Vettef will be their official Director of Performance. This announcement comes after the successful collaboration between the two on a special Vettel edition FX35. Vettel appears pleased with the development, a sentiment he confirmed in a statement, “I am really happy to extend my relationship with Infiniti and become their Director of Performance”.
The new Q50 was developed in part with Sebastian Vettel and Scuderia Torro Rosso driver Sebastian Buemi on circuits like the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain and the Nürburgring Nordschleife in Germany. The partnership between Vettel and Infiniti seems to be hitting its stride much more so, now that they are no longer focusing on the oddly specific performance SUV category.
