Virtual tuner Maher Thebian has revealed his latest render based upon the rumored Audi R10 supercar. It is named the Audi Python R10. It shows a very futuristic design. Rumours suggest that the Audi R10 could be launched by 2017.
The new Audi R10 is intended to be a road-going mirror to Audi’s Le Mans-winning R18 e-Tron Quattro. The R18 e-Tron quattro used electricity generated from a flywheel system to power one electric motor for each front wheel, improving the car’s performance, when pulling out of corners at speeds above 74mph.
Not a lot is known at this stage, but do expect a carbon fiber monocoque and a twin-turbo V6 powerplant producing 550hp. Additional power will then be sourced from a pair of 75hp electric motors powering the front wheels, therefore lifting power up to the previously rumored 700hp mark. Such a system will also provide torque vectoring, excellent traction, higher levels of torque, a zero-emissions option and an “on-demand boost effect”.
