Official: Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG 507 Edition

Mercedes-Benz has announced a new 507hp Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG which boasts even higher performance and a more muscular exterior.

The new ‘507 Edition’ version of its C63 AMG model adapts engine internals from the SLS, including forged pistons, connecting rods and a lightweight crankshaft. The output of the 6.2-liter V8 engine increases by 56hp while torque rises to a total of 450lb-ft. The 507 Edition needs just 4.1 seconds from standstill to 100k/h.

Outside, the 507 Edition keeps the same vented hood from the Black Series model together with custom 19-inch wheels which are available in a titanium grey or matte black with a polished lip. Exterior details such as the mirrors and the trunk lid spoiler are painted in a high-gloss black paint. The body can be ordered in a designo magno platinum matte paint.

Inside, the car impresses with custom leather and Alcantara finishes, an Alcantara-coated AMG Performance steering wheel and a special AMG badge on the shifter for the 7-speed automatic transmission.

The 507 Edition version, which will be presented at 2013 Geneva Motor Show, will be on sale this summer as a sedan or coupe and is also available as wagon in Europe. Aditionally every customer gains an exclusive voucher for driver development at the AMG Driving Academy.
