Porsche’s Cayenne SUV has long been a favourite for films crews all around the world who can use its size to store camera equipment, its rigidity to support a large camera crane and its sporty prowess to keep chase with some of the fastest moving scenes in Hollywood.
However, a new car is on the block to still the Cayenne’s movie making credentials and it’s none other than the Cayenne’s sibling, the Porsche Panamera.
The following $160,000 Porsche Panamera wrapped in a dark shade of matte black was recently spotted in Hollywood featuring a large camera crane, a plethora of electrical cables and coolest of all, a rear tail gunner section in place of the traditional sloping rear window.
Such a feature has been used to allow the camera operator to sit in the rear of the car, while controlling the large roof-mounted camera. It is believed that Premier Wraps in Hollywood completed the conversion and one paper the Panamera would make the perfect chase car.
Not only does it feature a variety of technology form the sporty-911, it also features a powerful front-mounted engine, rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive depending on specification, features big brakes and race-derived suspension.
