German tuner B&B Automobiltechnik has revisited the Audi R8 V10. Their previous release was based around a Coupe and featured power enhancements up to 610hp and 600Nm. The latest release sees further increases up to 628hp and 585Nm of torque.
The power increase is attributed to a special racing exhaust system, carbon air filter and a remap of the electronic injection code fields. B&B offers a sport suspension package to go with this reducing the ride height by 20mm at the front and 25mm at the rear. An adjustable version is also available.
Modifications aren’t solely limited to extra power though, the R8 V10 Spyder gets a remapped R-Tronic gear shift. This reduces shift times dramatically, making the gearbox faster than that found in the R8 GT.
The power increases make 0-100km/h possible in just 3.5 seconds (0.5 seconds faster than standard). 0-200km/h comes in just 10.8 seconds and top speed is improved from 316km/h up to 328km/h.
A set of 19 or 20 inch rims finish the modifications off with a set of ceramic high-performance brakes.
