Very few cars have such a menacing name as the Black Series. AMG has been producing such variants for a number of years now, initially starting with the CLK 63 AMG Black Series, and the recently launched SLS AMG Black Series is arguably the most extreme Black Series car produced to date.
Mercedes-Benz has yet to produce a roadster or convertible version of a Black Series car, but automotive manipulator, Theophilus Chin has posted images of how he envisages an SLS AMG Black Series Roadster would appear.
Even though we’re very doubtful that an SLS AMG Roadster Black Series will ever see the light of day, if it did, it’d likely look identical to the coupe version with the obvious absence of a hard top. Similarly, it would feature the same 6.2-liter V8 engine revving to 8,000rpm which pumps out 635hp and 635Nm of torque and can launch the coupe to 100km/h in just 3.6 seconds.
