Ever since the launch of the original Porsche 911 GT3 Cup racer, the car has gone onto become one of the most successful race cars in the world, with it even having its own one-make series in Australia.

And in order to show off the new car in its natural habitat at the brand’s test track in Weissach, Germany, Porsche recently released the following video showcasing the GT3 Cup on track while highlighting some of its key technical features.

Although we know all we could ever need to know about the 2013 Porsche 991-generation 911 GT3 Cup, the video does give us some great driving footage of the car but unfortunately almost all traces of the exhaust note of the GT3 Cup has been replaced by music clearly meant to showcase the car, even if it appears to detract from just how special the car is.

Nonetheless, it’s definitely a video worth watching!
