1971 Plymouth Barracuda 383 Coupe Fully Restored

With the ongoing speculation about the 2015 Barracuda, diehard Cuda enthusiasts are still restoring old models like this 1971 Plymouth Cuda 383 coupe. The 383 Cuda was made to compete against the Mustang, which had a 390 V8, the Chevy Camaro with a 396 V8 and the Pontiac Firebird a 400 V8.

This particular restoration also gets Mopar inspiration. Notable features include a Black vinyl roof, a vinyl bucket seat interior, air conditioning, Sport hood with hold-down pins, 383 billboards and rear spoiler. It’s powered by the Super Commando 383 6.3 liter V8 CI engine mated to a three-speed Torqueflite automatic transmission.

The wheels match the spirit of the pony car sizing 18 inches in the front and 20 inches in the rear. The wheels have a large diameter and are chromed with low profile rubber. The set is complemented by lowering the car by 2.25 inches.
