Hannah Montana star, Miley Cyrus was spotted cruising in her new McLaren MP4-12C driven by her fiancé, Liam Hemsworht in Los Angeles, US. Only just a few months after she acquired a 2012 Mercedes Benz SL550 Convertible worth $127,000.
Just to recap on the 2012 McLaren MP4-12C. It has a 3.8 liter V8 bi-turbo aluminum with variable valve timing and 600hp. The maximum torque is 600Nm between 3,000-7,000rpm. With only 1,336kg its lightness makes it stand out against the competition, such as the Ferrari 458 Italia. A sprint from 0 to 100km/h is completed in just 3.3 seconds and 200km/h takes just 9.1 seconds from zero. The top speed is 330km/h.

Much like its competition over Maranello way of late ( minus the cache of course ) the MP4-12C was created for …………. Poseurs . Plain and simple . Any car your gram or some teen idol can drive hardly being worthy of the term ; Exotic or Supercar . Just another poseurs mobile created for one purpose and one purpose only . Separating a Fool from His/Her Money .
Save your dosh ! Buy a ZR1 that actually ‘ demands ‘ to be drive ( vs driving you ) and kick the pants off an MP4-12C or three when you run across one …. just for kicks ;-)
And to think McLaren would stoop so low as to advertise this brat buying one . Shameful.

@ guitar slinger : separating a ‘supposed fool’ from his or her cash with a mclaren is only the same as any other and/ or all other Supercars …. Hell …. Same as any car come to that …. It’s just the difference in money. As for the the ZR1 reference that’s pretty much a USA typical car and maybe a good and competitively priced car there … Outside the USA they unfortunately mean nothing except for a few ‘usa car lovers’ and then they never use them properly either ….
As for Mclaren promoting this news and the said muppet owning one lets hope not.

GS has actually made a good point if i had that kinda cash i’d rather go for the zr1…it lives to its purpose of speed n affordability. Period.
I know the ZR1 is a great car but has anyone ever seen the episodes of Top Gear where Jeremy Clarkson talks about how after 4 days in America driving with the ZR1 it started to fall apart and when he was driving it on the Top Gear track the seat belt just broke. The ZR1 is a great car but the build quality seems well shitty. I’m only going off of what Jeremy Clarkson said though.
In the ZR1’s defence the lap time was on a damp track, and was reasonably impressive in those conditions, but i think mclaren over all are in a different league.
