Caterham released a teaser of their latest model recently. The image reveals very little other than the historic Caterham green and yellow livery alongside a set of slick racing tyres! The caption states that “Britain’s most exciting racing series just got supercharged” which suggests that the R300 series racing events will receive an upgrade.

The existing R300 series uses a Ford-sourced 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine producing 175bhp. It gets a track-oriented chassis, wide track suspension, a six-speed gearbox and carbon fiber parts as standard. Of course, the new model will build on this existing platform. It’s scheduled for a debut in October 2012 so until then, we can only speculate!
