Pebble Beach 2012 Special Edition Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse Sells for $2.5m

After a colorful event at the just concluded 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance over the past weekend, someone walked away a happy owner of a Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse but after a worthy cost of $2.5million. This was after it was announced that the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse had been officially presented to the public over-seas during the event.

“We are instantly electrified by the idea of transferring the power of the Super Sport to the Gran Sport, which previously delivered a maximum of 1,001hp, and thus taking the roadster to a new level”, said the president of Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S., Wolfgang Durheimer.

Its powered by a beastly 7.9 liter W16 engine, with a total output of 1,184 horsepower, with a peak torque of 1,500Nm. The acceleration from naught to 60mph takes just 2.6 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 410km/h (255mph).
