The other weekend London Motor Museum invited us down to see their first event of the summer, eight of the fastest cars in the world as well as three of the sportiest Eco-cars around all in one place. The venue was the valet parking of the Westfield shopping center in London, giving LMM the prime parking spaces to show off their event to the passing public.

We arrived while they were still setting up, but already in their place was the Jaguar XJ220, Pagani Zonda F Roadster Clubsport and the Koenigsegg CCR. Also in their place was LMM’s latest addition the the Gumpert Apollo next to their 2009 Gumball rally car the SSC Ultimate Aero.

Car dealers Superventura bought along two of their cars that are currently for sale. The Koenigsegg CCR Revo which was the first ever RHD CCR to be built and chassis No.9. Since it was built it has been back to the factory for a full upgrade, a clear carbon body, CCX style rear diffuser and side splitters, twin F1 carbon fiber rear wing, custom exhaust end piece and integrated fog lights in the front bumper. The engine also received an upgrade along with the installation of a hydraulic lifting system. The interior was also reupholstered in red leather with black Alcantara accents.

The Zonda F in question is number 24/25 and also has a bare carbon fiber finish with a carbon fiber with black and grey hide interior, while also featuring Cinque front fins and a sports exhaust.

The London Motor Museum cars on display where the Gumpert Apollo, which they bought and picked up less than a week before the event, and the SSC Ultimate Aero in which LMM’s Elo completed the 2009 Gumball 300 Rally in! The Apollo is one of a handful in the UK, and the only white one. It was originally manufactured and delivered as the Monaco show car in 2009 before being registered in France before coming to the UK in 2010. This particular Apollo features a GT1 airlift system, Carbon louvers, GT1 carbon trim and a DVD system which includes navigation and rear view camera.

The Ultimate Aero’s is believed to be the only one in UK, and has done very few miles since it completed the Gumball Rally and is usually found centre stage in their museum.

Also in attendance was the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera that took part in this years summer Dodgeball Rally. It was all prepared to embark on the rally into two days time, wrapped in it’s Polzia styled livery with matching blue lights and siren. This was later joined by a Lamborhghini Aventador just in time to take part in the evenings activities.

Their was also a small selection of Eco cars on display, the Tesla Roadster, Lighting GT and an ETV (Extra-Terrestrial Vehicle. The Lightning GT is based on the Ronart Lightning, but features twin 150kW (201bhp) onboard motors that are powered by two 22kWh battery packs. The ETV, another LMM car, is based on a Chevy Aveo chassis with featured a futurstic body, with gullwing doors, and a 2.2 liter Ecotec engine.

With all the cars suitably warmed up the ‘Supercar Rev Off’ commenced, starting with the Superleggera, XJ220 and MP4-12c, before the action heated up between the Zonda, CCR and Apollo seen in the video below!
