AMG has unveiled a special edition model of the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG to celebrate 45 years tuning Mercedes-Benz models. The special edition model will be made available to just 45 customers. It will feature a number of cosmetic enhancements including a unique paint finish, carbon fibre interior and exterior accents, unique interior trims and exterior features.
The bodywork will feature designo magno graphite paintwork. This is a new style of grey paint which will be accented by high gloss chrome on the 45th Anniversary Edition. Other cosmetic enhancements unique to this car include the new “twin-blade” radiator grille and the matte-finish exterior carbon fibre kit that covers the wing mirror casings, the cross strut in the front apron and the rear spoiler.
Underneath the SL65 AMG 45th Anniversary Edition will share its components with the standard SL65 AMG. The SL65 AMG is powered by a 6.0 liter bi-turbo V12. In the Anniversary Edition it will be producing the same 630hp and 1,000Nm of torque as the standard model. 0-100km/h is achieved in just 4.0 seconds with a top speed limited to 250km/h. Wheels are from the AMG Performance Studio fitted in 19 inches at the front and 20 at the rear.
Exclusive interior features include designo exclusive design leather finished in titanium grey pearl/ginger beige colouring and a diamond pattern to the electronically adjustable AMG sports seats. The roof lining is designo nappa leather. You get a AMG Performance steering wheel with a two-tone rim and matt carbon fibre trim elements. A badge will also feature on the ashtray cover designating the special vehicle.
