Mercedes-Benz is one of the main sponsors to this year’s Cannes International Film Festival, which is held between 16 to 27 May. To transport the starts and celebrities, the German car brand and its high-performance AMG sub-brand decided to choose a series of cars all wrapped in gold as a tribute to the awarding of the 65th Palme d’Or (Golden Palm).

On the pictures, you will spot a ML-Class, S600 Pullman, CLS and S-Class all dressed in a golden livery. AMG took their SL 65 AMG 45th Anniversary Edition and SL 63 AMG along to the city at the French Riviera.

At the Intercontinental Carlton hotel customers can ask the Mercedes-Benz’s AMG representatives for test drives in various current AMG models. The German brand offer this service throughout the festival. So if you are close to Cannes, make sure you check out one of the new AMG cars.

  1. Jeeze ! I’m an AMG Mercedes owner myself and even I find these to be OTT and absolutely tasteless . Never thought I’d see the day AMG would stoop this low for a minutes worth of attention

Shame on you AMG Mercedes !
