EVO’s Editorial Director and Founder Harry Metcalfe was invited by Porsche in February to have a closer look at the future of the supercar. The development of the Porsche 918 Spyder is on-going as we discussed with you yesterday.

Harry walks us through the test mule currently at the Nardo test track. He discusses the different engines, special systems and the interior setup of the car.

Porsche will pull the covers off the world’s first plug-in hybrid supercar on September 18, 2013.

  1. This is so interesting! And he points out correctly that this car is kind of the future…
I’m looking forward to hearing more of this stuff!

How will the other (super-)car-makers cope with it?

  2. I like the shape of the Porsche. Now i hope it’s gonna look like the first gt1’s from the past and not like the 918 spyder we have seen.

  3. Will be 1 of the Greatest Cars of all time I say…

    The Benchmark for super Supercars!

I’m sure the likes of Fezza and the other competitors should adapt the Porsche’s Tech . . .

  4. Absolutely brilliant. Can’t express my excitement. I always loved Porsche. The 911 turbo is my dream car and now when I see this I know why I like their cars so much.
