Lotus Evora GTE Formula 1 Edition Debuts at Geneva Auto Salon

Lotus is planning the release of two new models. The first model is rumoured to be a convertible version of the Evora. The second model is a Formula 1 inspired special edition of the Lotus Evora GTE. Lotus F1 Team driver Kimi Raikkonen will officially reveal the sports car, according to WorldCarFans.com.

The standard Evora GTE road car is the most powerful production Lotus road car ever built producing over 444hp from the 3.5 liter V6 Lotus Evora engine. Created as a special limited edition for the Asian market and designed to celebrate Lotus’ successful entry to the new global motorsport GTE category, the hand built Evora GTE road car has a sequential AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) racing gearbox and lightweight and forged alloy rims with center lock hubs shod with Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tyres.

It is unknown what the new edition will feature exactly. Performance figures and upgrades have not been shared so far. Stay tuned for the official release on the 6th of March.
