Officially we haven’t received any information regarding Bentley and their main introduction at the Geneva Auto Salon 2012 starting in three weeks time. New information shared with us today via Autoweek.com states that Bentley is ready to show its new SUV Concept for an unveiling at the Geneva car show.
Bentley CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer said about a month ago that a SUV is the possibility for Bentley to grow. The design process of the new SUV was then in an advanced stage. The SUV will be highly customizable, including a wide range of interior materials. Currently the model has not been approved for production, but according to Dürheimer this decision was just a matter of weeks.
If all this is to be believed, Bentley’s new SUV will ride on the same platform as the Audi Q7 and will feature its W12 engine along with its new V8 that debuted in the Bentley Continental GT V8.
