Tesla CEO Elon Musk already confirmed plans to introduce a battery-powered crossover, the Model X, in 2014, about two years after the mid-2012 launch of its midsize Model S sedan. On February 9, the new four-wheel drive crossover will be released at the company’s design studio in California.

The pictures show the first teaser image of the electric vehicle. The teaser shows the Model X’s front profile and a small section of the grille. The picture is part of an official invite emailed to registered Tesla fans and posted on the Tesla Motors Club forum.

Stay tuned for more Thursday next week!
