Autocar’s spy photographers have captured Stuttgart’s finest out testing a camouflaged Porsche Panamera, believed to be a mid-life facelift model. They speculate that the new Panamera could be released at the New York or Beijing in April.
The photos, taken in Germany, reveal that the Panamera will get a new headlight design and new front bumper as well as a redesigned rear-end. Expect the finished Panamera facelift to give the car features that resemble the new Porsche 991. Commentators have noticed that Panamera mules have been fitted with front-facing cameras suggesting that they will use Porsche’s ACC InnoDrive system, an intelligent form of cruise control.
The Panamera is an important model for Porsche. Together with Cayenne, it accounts for over 70 percent of total Porsche sales worldwide. Demand is said to be increasing as well, reports suggest that Porsche will increase production at the Leipzig plant that builds the Panamera and Cayenne.
