Zerotohundred.com, a Malaysian automotive forum, has recently organized one of the biggest automotive drives of 2011 in the region. Sponsored by Shell Malaysia, Zerotohundred worked together with the Blue Jackets Society and Lotus of Malaysia to organize the event that spanned two weekends.
The first leg consisted of a drive south to Johor, whilst the second leg saw the drivers heading up north to Penang. Dubbed the Helix Invasion Tour (#HIT2011), the drive was primarily to cultivate consumer education on the importance of using the correct engine oil and caring for one’s engine.
The first part of the event saw some thirty cars participating to the drive down south, while the second leg had a higher participation; with over fifty supercars going along for the drive.
Amongst the more interesting items on the agenda was a special Time Attack Challenge. This challenge was set up by Lotus Cars Malaysia, and participants had the opportunity to pilot a Lotus Exige S through a small gymkhana circuit. A few members of the Blue Jackets took this opportunity to test their skills out in their own cars that provided the crowd with entertainment aplenty.
With the successful completion of #HIT2011, Zerotohundred hopes to organize more exciting automotive events in 2012.
