Audi specialist PPI Design has released two new parts for the award-winning PPI Razor GTR-10 Limited Production supercar, which is based on the Audi R8 V10 Coupe. The parts can also be fitted to other R8 Coupe’s.
The PPI Razor GT24 front and rear carbon fiber hoods offer both a cosmetic and performance upgrade. The rear engine hood is made of carbon fiber and incorporates glass made of the light high-tech polycarbonate material Makrolon.
The engine hood has specifcially designed carbon fiber “ram-charged” air inlets that replace the heavy OE/OEM engine cover. The rear engine hood weighs a total weight of 9,7kg, about 50 percent less weight than the original Audi hood. The hood is available in matte or glossy carbon fiber and will fit on all R8 Coupe models.
The front hood is lighter and has a more sporty look then the original hood. An optional radiator channel aids in additional engine cooling. Total weight of the new hood is only 11kg, about 35 percent less weight than the original Audi hood. The hood is available in matte or glossy carbon fiber and will fit on all R8 models including the Spyder.
