Guangzhou Auto Show 2011: Rolls-Royce Phantom China Dragon Debut

Rolls Royce Phantom China Dragon Debut

The far east has become a major market for luxury brands such as Rolls-Royce. The Rolls-Royce Bespoke division has debuted the Phantom China Dragon special edition at the Guangzhou Auto Show. The special edition marks the Chinese Year of the Dragon that starts late January next year.

Rolls-Royce have prepared eight Phantom models for the Chinese market. The model on display at Guangzhou is a Phantom LWB and features a handpainted dragon coachline on the side of the vehicle. The dragon also appears on the leather of every headrest, hand-embroidered using a combination of four thread colours: Tan, Golden Sand, Black and White.

Rolls-Royce will recommend leather colour options for customers ordering the vehicles. A dragon inlay will be hand-laid to the passenger panel of every car above the gold Phantom model name. The interior has two hand-stitched cushions for rear passengers, both embroidered with double R logos and piping to accentuate the chosen interior. The four door sills feature illuminated treadplates with ‘Year of the Dragon 2012′ in LED lighting.
