With the first deliveries of the Camaro ZL1 coming closer and closer final tests are being done by Chevrolet. One of those tests is setting a lap-time on the famous Nürburgring Nordschleife. A few days ago the turbocharged Camaro did a lap in a time of just 7:41.27.
The American sports car is outfitted with a supercharged and intercooled 6.2 liter LSA V8 engine with an output of 587hp together with 550 pound-feet of torque. The power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission using a dual-disc clutch.
How can this be true? That Camaro is faster than Lambo Murcielago SuperVeloce is.

two words to your post Julle: American Muscle
Europeans just cant beat it, well they can, but the difference is in the price tag. 100,000$ for a car that can beat a SuperVeloce or for a 350,000$ veloce
* or 350,000 for a veloce. My bad on that typo.
It only cost a shade over $50,000
