The video below shows the assembly process of the engine for the Ferrari 458 Italia. The engine is assembled at the factory in Maranello by a group of people wearing red clothes and white gloves.
The 4.5 liter V8 is a shared Ferrari/Maserati design, producing 562hp at 9,000rpm and 540Nm at 6,000rpm with 80 percent torque available at 3,250rpm. Due to the aerodynamics pushing more air into the engine at high speeds, the engine develops 570hp at top speed. The engine features direct fuel injection, which is a first for Ferrari mid-rear engine setups in its road cars.
Such a shoddy video. I see what they’re trying to do, but all it had me thinking was how I felt bad for the person taking delivery of the Ferrari hand built by the guy with the microphone.
