Porsche Plans Panamera LWB for 2012

official porsche panamera diesel

Porsche is working on a long-wheelbase Panamera to be introduced in early 2012, according to CAR. The LWB Panamera has a 150mm longer wheelbase offering more space to the rear-seat passengers. The main sales market for the Panamera XXL is the Chinese market.

It seems like the luxury saloon will have a similar life cycle as its smaller brother, the 911. We already saw several new engines – petrol, diesel and hybrid – over the past few months and now Porsche is committing itself to an array of bodystyles. The next big step after the longer version is a comprehensive facelift due in 2013, according to sources in Stuttgart.
