The Texas Mile Run is an event created for performance enthusiasts to test themselves and their motorized equipment at a 1-mile track. This events occurs a few times a year in South Texas. Cars from all over the United States wait for their turn to blast down a retired airstrip for a shot at reaching their fastest speed by the 1-mile marker.
In this video we can see Sean Kennedy driving a Ford GT to 235mph (378.2km/h). The Ford GT is equipped with a custom twin-turbo system by Hennessey Performance. This achievement is even more impressive considering the 20+ mph headwind.
