Avions Voisin is completely unknown to us all. However some may know the company because they produced planes in the early twentieth century. When the production of planes was forced to stop, the company converted to a luxury car manufacturer and continued for a period of twenty years.
When you take a close look at the cars from that period you can easily find the link with aviation. In a later stage Avions Voisin also participated in sports car races. The two Dutch engineers now want to reincarnate the brand in honor of Gabriel Voisin, the original founder of Avions Voisin.
There first creation, called the Voisin A-JT, is a mix between a luxury saloon and a sports car. The engineers have announced that the first prototype should be presented at the Auto Rai Motor Show 2011 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, starting in April.
