Official 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Pace Car

Chevrolet has revealed a new Camaro Convertible Pace Car for the 2011 Indianapolis 500 race. The Chevrolet Camaro Convertible is the 22nd Chevy to be chosen as the Pace Car for the famous Indy 500 race and powered by a V8 engine developing 400hp (298kW) coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission.

The all-American Pace Car comes with Brembo brakes with four-piston calipers and hydraulic assist, StabiliTrak electronic stability control, the launch control function and the RS package, including HID headlamps and unique tail lamps.

The 2011 Indianapolis 500 race is held on Sunday, May 29 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The event will celebrate its 100th anniversary of the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race.
