The German sports car maker Porsche has released an image of a employee/designer working on a clay model of the new 918 Spyder. The 1:3 scale mock up includes a few interesting design details, like the revised front, hood, quarter panel and single exhaust pipe at the right hand side of the sports car.
The Germans released the picture as part of Porsche’s announcement of a € 150 million investment in its research and development center in Weissach, Germany. The money will go into the development of a high-tech wind tunnel, new design center and electronics integration facility. The investment ensures that Porsche is ready for the future and the development of the 918 Spyder.
