Sport Auto has revealed an un-official Nürburgring lap time for the Audi R8 GT, which is faster than the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. The lightweight Audi R8 GT set a lap time of 7 minutes and 33 seconds. In comparision the GT3 RS has a lap time of 7 minutes and 34 seconds.
The R8 GT is a lighter version of the R8 V10 Coupé – 100 kg to be precise – and powered by the same 5.2 liter V10 FSI engine as its older brother producing up to 560hp and 540Nm. A sprint from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) is done in just 3.6 seconds and it has a top speed of 320km/h. The sports car is limited to only 333 pieces.
