Wiesmann Introduces BMW’s Twin-Turbo V8 in MF4 and MF5 Series

Road Test Wiesmann Roadster MF5 01

Motor replacement at the Dülmen sports car manufactory. Wiesmann will be banking on BMW twin turbo technology for their model series MF4 and MF5. The Wiesmann GT and Roadster MF4 and MF5 can now be ordered with the new engine types.

The MF4 will now be equipped with a BMW 4.4 liter V8 twin turbo direct injection petrol engine. With its engine capacity of 4,395cm³ and 407hp (300kW) at 5,500 to 6,400rpm, the MF4 will reach a top speed of 180mph. It will reach 0 to 60mph in just 4.6 seconds.

Also the MF5 will receive an engine based on latest twin turbo technology. The top-of-the-range model will also be equipped with the same 4.4 liter V8 twin turbo direct injection petrol engine. The only difference between the two is the performance. The M-motor specifications are 555hp at 5,750 to 6,750rpm, 0 to 60mph in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 193mph. The new engine makes the MF5 model series the most powerful Wiesmann car ever produced.

The Wiesmann Roadster MF3 will keep its current engine.
