MTM is known for its tuning of the Audi line-up. One of the vehicles still missing in the portfolio is the Audi R8 V10. But here comes the good news; MTM is working on a full program including ECU performance upgrade, new exhaust system, brake kit, bimoto wheel set and last but not least a massive super/turbocharger upgrade producing a whopping 888bhp.
An eight-pistonbrake 380x34mm front brake kit, MTM bimoto wheelset (9/11×20 LK 5×112) with Continental Sportcontact 3 tyres and exhaust system with throttle valve are available right now. Stage 1 consists of the exhaust accompanied by a performance upgrade up to 588bhp, which is 63hp more than standard and 555Nm of torque – an increase of 25Nm.
MTM claims a top speed of 325km/h and a sprint from 0-100km/h in 3,8 seconds.
And that’s not all! A video with the sound of the exhaust has also been unveiled by the tuner from Wettstetten, Germany.
GTspirit visited MTM about one-and-a-half month ago. In the workshop we spotted a R8 equipped with a brand new exhaust ‘Scuderia-style’, a massive intercooler, new rear window with cooling ducts and a supercharger system. The vehicle is still under development, but will be ready in time for the Geneva Motor Show 2010. MTM is planning an appearance at the event in March.
