We all know about the Italian’s legendary sense of pride. If you didn’t, then take a look at what Ferrari have decided to do in aid of the earthquake victims of Italy’s Abruzzo region. The last F430 to roll off the Maranello will be auctioned off to raise funds. It’ll feature a special two-tone paint job to make it distinctive to those who are lucky enough to see it.
The colours, grey and gold match the traditional colours of Aquila, the city most hit by the earthquakes. Not only this but the car will come with will a certificate signed by Ferrari Chairman, Luca di Montezemolo and a personalised dedication plate to commemorate the generous donation. Finally, the new owner will be able to go to Ferrari’s factory and personaly choose the spec of the car.
It’ll be auctioned off at this Sunday’s RM auction. The last car is said to come off the line towards the end of the year, take a look at spyshots and speculation about it’s replacement due to be shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Click on the above picture for a high-res version.
