The concept for the Artega GT has been around for quite a while now, since the 2007 Frankfurt Motorshow to be precise. Like many concepts at this time of year, Artega have been out testing in the cold temperatures showing how serious they are about seeing this car through to production. It was spotted in Northern Europe at temperatures of -20C (-4F).

It will be a lightweight, 1,100kg (2425 lbs), sportscar with a 3.6-litre V6 engine with 300bhp and 350Nm of torque and should cost the buyer somewhere in the region of $104,000 with german taxes (£93,130 or $133,762). Production run is hoped to be as high as 500 units per year.

  1. spyshots ? still testing ?

and I thought it’s a done deal, I’ve sat in one of their cars, seen it do a few rounds around the expo hall and then loaded on a truck at the end of MMotion ’08 in Prague (that was November if I recall correctly)

but yeah, if you took the cover behind the seats off, you could spot a pretty “harness mess” in there, just like in zoo, the snake section – but isn’t that what makes a supercar a true supercar ?

  2. I saw one at goodwood last year if i remember correctly. It looked pretty finished off then, nonetheless they haven’t produced a single customer car from what I can gather. I think they sold one though to a New Yorker named Steven Gregory Balboa.

  3. Anyone noticed the car has different front and rear license plates…
And I would say it’s better to do more testing than necessary than do less!
And I thought that the Artega GT wouldn’t be limited I think they want to produce 500 per year!!!
