Honda NSX Mugen RR Concept

Detroit isn’t the only place in the world to find new cars these days. In Japan, at the Tokyo Auto Salon, you can see the public presentation of the Honda NSX Mugen RR Concept, the successor of the Honda NSX that saw the first daylight back in 1990. Too bad we have to announce some bad news, which is that the production of the new sporty Honda has been set on hold, and maybe even cancelled. Probably another victim of the economical crisis.

Anyway, the new car comes with a new hood, new air vents, new side sills, a rear boot spoiler, an air vent at the back of the roof, a new rear apron with integrated exhaust system and air diffuser, and a new front lip spoiler.

The shown model in Japan has a stunning naturally aspirated 5.0 liter V10 engine that is expected to produce in excess of 500 bhp. That should be enough, if we can believe the Honda bosses, to beat the Nissan GT-R. Let’s hope we get some positive news soon!
