2009 Lotec Sirius

Lotec, most of us probably never heard of it and to be honest, I didn’t either. Lotec is a company based in Germany and prefers to stay in the shadow of the big car producers like Mercedes-Benz, BMW or Porsche.

Back in 2000 they presented the first edition of the Lotec Serius which was a seriously good looking car. Nine years later the designers decided to upgrade the car and bring it a little more in the spotlights, and that’s not only with it’s looks because it also breaks the magic limit of 250 mph (400 kmh). Indeed, it’s getting competitive with the Bugatti Veyron and other hyper cars.

Offcourse this topspeed needs some serious figures, and that is exactly what it gets you. The Sirius only weighs 2820 lbs (1280 kg) and runns on a 6 liter V12 engine producing, in it’s cheapest version, 1000 bhp together with 1100 Nm of torque. There it says ‘hello’ again to the Bugatti Veyron.

We said, it’s cheapest version has 1000 bhp, that means Lotec has another engine to put under the car. For those who are used driving all this power, you can also order a 1200 bhp strong Sirius.
