Lamborghini Murcielago SV

Lamborghini Murcielago SV

More details of the upcoming Lamborghini Murcielago SV hit the web today. 8 years after the last Lamborghini Diablo ‘Superveloce’ left the factory, Lamborghini starts production of a Murcielago SV. Like the Diablo SV the new Murcielago SV will lack four-wheel drive but instead has all the power on the rear wheels. Biggest eye catcher of this new SV model of the LP640 Murcielago is the large carbonfibre rear wing. Because the Murcielago SV won’t have four-wheel drive the front differential and driveshafts can be removed and that takes a big share in the total weight reduction of more then 100 kg.

The 6.5-litre V12 from the Murcielago will boost even more power in the new SV then the recently revealed ultra-exclusive Lamborghini Reventon. The exact number is still to be released, but anywhere between 660 and 680 bhp is expected. Although the new SV will have more horses on board then the new Reventon, it’s unlikely it will be able to beat the Reventon anywhere other then in a straight line. But one thing is for sure the most evil Murcielago will be fast, very fast!
