La Carrera Panamericana started yesterday with an official sendoff from the Governor. It was a media frenzy and the drivers were excited to get back on the roads to do what they have come for!

Sadly, we lost another two (or three- the drivers meeting is in a few minutes) competitors today. All walked away happy and laughing … in fact, after trying too get a cool-off from the heat by jumping in the water, the mighty policia Studebaker piloto and co-piloto took a seat under a tree, grabbed a beer and cheered on the other drivers as they passed, unaware that the Studebaker was at the shop having a liquid cooling brake system fitted.
