The long awaited Alfa Romeo Giulia made its global debut back in September 2015 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. With a recently announced six month delay in deliveries, there are plenty of opportunities for the Italian car maker to put their newest creation into the spotlight.

At the 2016 Detroit Motor Show, we are greeted by the 2016 Alfa Romeo QV. The 2016 Alfa Romeo QV is the range topping model, powered by a Ferrari-derived twin-turbocharged V6 engine. The long awaited new Alfa has 510hp, making it an interesting competitor to the BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C63.

The 100 km/h mark is reached within 3.9 seconds, accompanied by a great symphony coming from the tailpipes. Judging from the video’s we have seen over the past months, we can safely confirm that the sound of the new 2016 Alfa Romeo Giulia QV is something that the Italian carmaker has nailed.

The Quadrifoglio Verde biggest asset is that it’s an absolute lightweight. If there’s something that Alfa Romeo excel in, it’s putting cars on a hefty diet. This comes at no surprise, seeing what Alfa Romeo have achieved with their 4C success model. The 2016 Alfa Romeo Giulia QV is stuffed with carbon fibre bodyparts and interior trims, making it appealing on both the outside and inside as well.

  1. I’m glad to see the circular wheels in bright silver on the grey car. Although black wheels have become popular I really don’t care for them. Black alloys always look like the cars are driving on 4 doughnut spares.
