At the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show 2015, Mansory has unveiled its performance, visual and aerodynamic upgrades for the luxurious Bentley Flying Spur. As with all Mansory products, the company’s Flying Spur has been designed to be better in every department than the standard car.

To start with, power from the 6.0-litre W12 engine has been increased from 625 hp all the way to 900 hp. Meanwhile, torque has risen from 800 Nm to an electronically limited 1100 Nm, to avoid damage to the drive train. Thanks to these improved figures, the Mansory Bentley Flying Spur sprints to 100 km/h in a brisk 3.6 seconds, 200 km/h in 12.2 seconds and an insane top speed of 340 km/h.

Mansory managed to achieve the extra horsepower and torque thanks to optimisations to the turbocharger as well as tweaks to the ECU and the installation of a completely new exhaust system.

From a styling perspective, the Mansory Flying Spur is certainly a head-turner with the tuning company ensuring its looks match the improved performance. With that in mind, the front fascia has been heavily modified and now includes a gloss black front grille, a bespoke carbon fibre bonnet, new LED daytime running lights and fog lights as well as re-shaped air intakes.

Moving around the car, you’ll find the custom side skirts which not only add to the striking looks of the car but also help smooth out the airflow. Also found at the sides are one-piece ‘M8’ forged wheels measuring 22×10 at all four corners with 295/30 rubber sticking the British super-sedan to the road. A modified air suspension system has also been installed which drops the ride height by 30 mm. The rear utilises a small bootlid lip spoiler, interesting stacked quad oval-shaped tailpipes and a subtle diffuser.

The interior is adorned in Mansory’s own hand-crafted leather and is complemented with aluminium pedals and door sills.

“MANSORY modify the Bentley Flying Spur with carbon fibre aerodynamics, a mighty increase in power and the most refined interior possible.

MANSORY Design & Holding GmbH, the recognised specialists in refinement of super-sports cars and luxury bodywork, present their expressive modification to the Bentley Flying Spur at the 66th IAA International Motor Show. Even the standard version of this automobile is one of the most exclusives cars money can buy. But refined MANSORY manufacturing takes this even further and brings the highest possible level of individualisation to premium vehicles.

As with all their cars, in the Bentley Flying Spur MANSORY pay great attention to precisely fitting components and, at the same time, individual design. The precisely coordinating details make the MANSORY refinement a real eye-catcher. Thanks to a re-designed front spoiler with daytime running lights developed in-house, and an extra-light carbon fibre bonnet, the Flying Spur makes a significantly beefier impression. Re-designed side skirts reinforce this striking visual appearance, and smooth the airflow between the axles. Along with the discreet rear spoiler, the new rear apron delivers additional downforce, and makes room for the four oval end-pipes on the throaty exhaust system.

As well as an outstanding sound, the MANSORY engineers attach a great deal of importance to a serious increase in performance: The six litre version hits 900 PS (662kW), once the MANSORY technology department optimise the turbocharger and the engine characteristics, and install a complete exhaust system right to the tail pipe. In contrast, the production model might seem almost under-powered at 625 PS (460kW). The maximum torque of 800 Newton metres would also be impressive, but MANSORY have raised this to 1.100 Newton metres, electronically limited, to avoid damage to the drive train. On the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h, MANSORY save a whole second versus the production model. After only 3.6 seconds, the new Flying Spur is at “A” road speed. From a standing start to a speed of 200, you only need 12.2 seconds. If you keep your foot on the gas, you will keep accelerating up to 340 km/h, compared to 320 km/h for the production model.

MANSORY offers a special wheel-tyre combination in an exclusive design to handle the increased challenges involved with this enhanced-power Bentley. The one-piece “M8“ wheel size 10 x 22 is a convincing option thanks both to its exclusive look and its low weight. MANSORY employs Vredestein ULTRAC VORTI R-tyres size 295/30/R22 to deliver optimal grip. MANSORY have lowered the car’s centre of gravity by a good 30 mm with a modified air suspension module, which makes wheels sit even more squarely in the wheel arches.

MANSORY achieves the perfect symbiosis between dynamic sports functionality and luxurious ambience. Only the finest materials find their way into the car’s interior, ensuring the greatest sense of comfort. The hand-crafted leather used for the seats and dashboard in the MANSORY interior, is extremely resilient, but still tremendously soft. This characteristic natural product, with its very special grain and perfect craftsmanship of its stitching, conveys extravagant flair all around the re-designed airbag sports steering wheel. The aluminium pedals and the door sills complete the luxurious impression of the Bentley Flying Spur refined by MANSORY.”
