Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster: Wilder Than Ever

Just in time for open-top season, Lamborghini unveils its latest ultra-exclusive special series model. Following the debut of the Fenomeno Coupé during last summer’s Monterey Car Week in Pebble Beach, the Roadster now arrives as an even more dramatic interpretation. Production is limited to just 15 examples, each expected to cost well in excess of €3 million.

The technical foundation comes from the Lamborghini Revuelto, meaning the Fenomeno Roadster also relies on a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 paired with hybrid assistance. Combined output reaches 1,080 PS, making it the most powerful open Lamborghini ever produced. The model joins the brand’s exclusive Few-Off lineage, which began in 2009 with the legendary Lamborghini Reventón.

CEO Stephan Winkelmann describes the car as a pure expression of Lamborghini’s values: dramatic design, uncompromising performance and absolute exclusivity. That philosophy is reflected not only in the specification, but also in the production numbers and bespoke craftsmanship behind each example.
Performance figures are predictably extreme. The V12 alone produces 835 PS, supported by three electric motors, two mounted at the front axle and another integrated into the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Combined system output totals 1,080 PS and 725 Nm of torque. As a result, the all-wheel-drive Roadster accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds, reaches 200 km/h in 6.8 seconds and continues to a top speed beyond 340 km/h.

Unlike many modern hypercars, the Fenomeno Roadster allows manual adjustment of its dampers, enabling owners to tailor the setup for road driving or circuit use. Carbon ceramic brakes derived from motorsport handle stopping duties, while a small 7 kWh lithium-ion battery allows short periods of silent electric driving.

Structurally, the Roadster retains the carbon fibre monocoque and composite front structure of the Coupé. However, the aerodynamics have been extensively revised to compensate for the absence of a fixed roof. A newly developed spoiler above the windscreen directs airflow over the cockpit and into the engine bay, ensuring sufficient cooling for the V12. Even the discreet rollover structure has been carefully engineered to reduce turbulence and maintain stability at high speed.

Design chief Mitja Borkert explains that the visual focus remains firmly on the powertrain. The engine bay has been integrated in such a way that the V12 appears almost suspended within the bodywork, reinforcing the sensation that the driver is wrapped around the drivetrain itself.

The Fenomeno Roadster is not intended to be subtle, rational or restrained. It is a rolling celebration of Lamborghini excess, combining naturally aspirated theatre with hybrid performance and coachbuilt exclusivity. In an era increasingly defined by electrification and efficiency, it remains unapologetically emotional.
