McLaren just officially released that one of the legendary McLaren F1 production cars is being put up for sale. With chassis number 069, the F1 is one of the very last examples produced and has less than 2,800 miles on the odometer.

This fine example of British car manufacturing has been especially maintained by the McLaren Special Operations Heritage Division and is said to be in excellent condition. With only 64 cars produced between 1993 and 1998, the F1 is regarded to as one of the rarest and most valuable supercars ever built.

McLaren’s MSO division continues to offer maintenance and management of F1’s globally and is now offering this highly-regarded model for sale. Some prospective buyers will be happy to know that this particular F1 has not been tampered with and remains in its original factory condition.

Regarding its history, this F1 was one of the six examples hand-built in 1998 at the McLaren plant in Woking, England. It boasts a carbon black exterior including a stealth finish to the 17-inch center-locking magnesium wheels. The central driving seat is finished in black and red leather, while the dual passenger seats feature Alcantara upholstery.

McLaren MSO additionally released the following regarding the sales details of the car: “McLaren F1 chassis #069 is UK registered with all UK taxes paid and offered for sale exclusively through McLaren Special Operations Heritage division with fitted luggage, complete Facom titanium lightweight tool kit and Facom tool box, all books and literature, including the correct numbered LM Edition of the ’Driving Ambition’ McLaren F1 book and limited edition McLaren F1 owner’s watch.”
