Mercedes is hard at work on a facelifted version of the C-Class destined for release sometime next year.

Despite the fact that the new generation C-Class was released not too long ago, it appears as though Mercedes will not waste any time releasing a facelifted and revised version. These spys shots depict Mercedes engineers hard at work testing a revised C-Class just outside the company’s headquarters in Stuttgart.

The new C-Class will feature entirely redesigned front and rear headlamps as well as a revised front and rear bumper. The prototype pictured in these spy photos is largely without camouflage, save for a few bits of tape covering the front headlamps.

The facelifted 2018 C-Class will likely not receive any changes to its engine line-up. Interior changes will also likely be limited, although we do expect changes to the interior to bring the car more inline with the likes of the new E-Class and S-Class in terms of corporate design language.

The facelifted C-Class will debut sometime in 2017 as a 2018 model year vehicle.
