German tuner Prior-Design, known for its aerodynamic widebody tuning kits, have recently started tinkering with the latest Porsche Macan. The Macan is easily one of the most popular and capable cars in its segment, and Prior-Design have fitted the compact performance SUV with several aerodynamic improvements, visual modifications and a custom exhaust system.
Labeled as the Porsche Macan “PD600M Widebody”, Prior-Design once again display their talent at making vehicles appear even more aggressive. It all starts at the front, where the Macan is fitted with a new and more contentious looking front bumper featuring a separate air splitter and larger air intakes. The car’s new front is made to match the larger front wheel arch extensions, that extend along the side of the SUV to meet up with the Macan’s equally large rear arches.
At the rear visual modifications include a new tailgate and roof spoilers. The PD600M aerodynamic kit is entirely made out of a high quality Dura-Flex glass-fibre mixture with an attractive surface finish.
The respiratory possibilities of the twin-turbocharged V6 are further enhanced through a high quality stainless steel Prior-Design exhaust system. The vehicle’s standard exhausts make way for the new quad-pipes under the new diffusor, and the custom exhaust system features a valve control system too.
Making excellent use of the gained space in the car’s large wheel arches, are the fitting 22-inch Vossen VPS305 ultra-light alloy wheels shold with Continental SportContact 6 high performance tires. If customers have fitted their Porsche Macan with the optional air suspension, Prior-Design offers to lower ride height by up to 35 mm using H&R’s electronic lowering module.
