Video: McLaren 570S Shows Off Launch Control

Before the very first McLaren 570S deliveries kick off in Europe later this year, a stunning grey example has been filmed on the streets of Knokke while participating in the Zoute Grand Prix. Despite having number plates, we believe this is a dealership demonstrator.

Whatever the case may be, this video provides us with one of our first chances to see the new 570S in action after its dynamic debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2015 back in March. The clip also includes a launch control run from the British supercar where it really shows off its performance potential. Despite being rear-wheel drive, the launch controls ensures that the rear wheels don’t lose any traction. As for the sound, well it is definitely the loudest car McLaren produces.

The 570S is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 570 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The power is transferred to the rear axle by a 7-speed automatic gearbox. It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 328 km/h.
