A number of expensive yachts have been wrecked after fire spread through a marina near Boston recently.
The blaze took place at Captain’s Cove Marina in Massachusetts with a total of nine yachts ravaged by the inferno. Of those nine yachts, four of them sank and despite the intensity of the fire, there have been no reported injuries.
Officials are still investigating the fire but it is believed to have been sparked by an explosion on one of the boats. A fire boat helped to douse the flames as did local Quincy firefighters who were situated on the shore. In order to limit the damage, a number of marine units from Quincy towed away nearby boats while firefighters cut away five boats to let them float away from the flames.
