Video: Audi TT RS Crashes Heavily at the Nurburgring

Alongside all the endurance races and industry test sessions held at the Nurburgring Nordschleife, the famed German circuit is also open for the public to enjoy. However, as the circuit is amongst the world’s most dangerous earning the nickname ‘Green Hell’ from Sir Jackie Stuart, it is no stranger to some horrific crashes.

Recently, the circuit claimed its latest victim in the form of a modified Audi TT RS. As the video shows, the German sports car entered a left hand turn at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control. The rear-end began to slid out and due to the driver’s inability to correct the slide, the TT RS smashes head first into the Armco crash barriers lining the side of the track.

The force of the impact caused the car to spin around and then hit the crash barrier from the rear before spinning and sliding down the grass.

If you ever go to the Nurburgring, drive safely!
